Himachal BJP gears up to Rashtriya Ekta Yatra
The state BJP is getting ready to give a grand reception to Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha’s (BJYM) Rashtriya Ekta Yatra, as it arrives in Una district’s Mehatpur on January 22.
Not only state leaders, the yatra will be received by cabinet ministers and members of the Legislative Assembly as well. The party has entrusted MLAs and cabinet ministers of 12 districts to gather crowds to join the rally.
After entering Himachal, the rally will go to Pathankot in Punjab through Kangra district and then head to Jammu and Kashmir on January 24. Party spokesperson Ganesh Dutt said: “Whatever may be the case with the Jammu and Kashmir government, we are proceeding with the scheduled Rashtriya Ekta Yatra as per original plan.”
Anurag Thakur, BJYM president and Hamirpur MP, is leading the rally. Thakur is the son of Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.
