Himachal’s Baddi industrial area to have effluent plant
Shimla, A common effluent treatment plant will be set up at a cost of Rs. 80 crore in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh industrial area in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district to check industrial pollution, an official said.’The state government has authorised Baddi Infrastructure Limited to set up a common effluent treatment plant at a cost of Rs.80 crore,’ a government spokesperson told .He said the firm has been authorised to collect, deposit, process and dispose of both municipal and industrial effluents. The treatment plant would be set up near Baddi.The Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh belt is one of the prominent industrial areas in Himachal Pradesh. Two-wheeler major Hero Honda has also approached the state government for land to set up a facility in the area.
