Fast-track court resumes trial in Kachru ragging case

Dharamsala: A fast-track court in here today resumed the trial of four medicos, accused of ragging first year student Aman Kachru, who later died due to injuries sustained during ragging. Himachal Pradesh High Court last week had cancelled their bail and were asked to surrendered before the court on July 29.

After today’s hearing, district deputy attorney RK Kaushal told media persons that three doctors from Rajendra Prasad Medical College in Tanda and one police personnel recorded their statements before the fast-track court judge Purinder Vaidya. He said doctors who recorded their statements included JB Singh and KK Sharma.

Kaushal said the statement of the remaining witnesses, who are mostly doctors and police personnel, would be recorded by August 6.
