Centre approves Rs 982 Cr road plan for Himachal – Gulab Singh
Shimla The Centre has approved a Rs 982.39- crore road development plan forHimachal Pradesh which include the roads to be constructed with World Bank assistance under special projects.
Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Gulab Singh Thakur said the annual plan was five times more than Rs 187 crore annual plan for 2009-10, an official release here said.
He said the central government had also agreed to consider upgradation of six national highwyas with a total length of 639.12 kms with World Bank assistance.
Thakur said Rs 88 crore had been approved by the Centre for periodical renewal of 259.50 km national highways in the state while Rs 22.26 crore recommended by the Regional Office of Ministry of Raod Transport and Highways, Chandigarh.
