Leopard intrudes into St Bede’s College
Shimla: A fully-grown leopardess today intruded into the campus of St. Bede’s Girls College here this morning creating panic among students. It was later captivated by officials of the wild life department after being tranquilized inside a room and was shifted to the National Animal Rehabilitation Center at Tutikandi.
District forest officer Yogesh Verma said that on a call was received from the police control room in the morning at around 11.30 an and a team of wildlife official was rushed to St Bede’s College. The six-year-old wild cat had entered a room and was locked from outside by the campus watchmen. The wild cat did not harm any one as it had entered the compound of the college from the nearby jungle as it is situated amidst a thick forest.
