Shimla teacher challenging Einstein to deliver lecture at IIT Gandhinagar
Shimla: Ajay Sharma, principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Dhami, has been invited by Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, to deliver a lecture on modification of Einstein’s famous equation E=mc2. The Department of Physics , IIT Gandhinagar is organizing a scientific workshop COSMOS 2010 on April 10 and 11.
It is pertinent to mention that since past many years Ajay Sharma has been boldly talking about generalization of Einstein’s equation E=mc2. In 2002, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal had forwarded his research papers to Vice-chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University for comments. Then Department of Physics, HPU, had replied that as none of its teachers had specialisation in the field, the papers could not be evaluated.
Working on the topic for past 28 years, Ajay says he has 100% confidence about the validity of his ideas. He has published nearly 18 research papers in peer review international journals, along with two books published from America and Germany. In his research papers, Ajay Sharma has confirmed that Einstein’s derivation of 1905 has serious limitations and is valid only under special conditions of the parameters. “Under general conditions, Einstein’s derivation of E=mc2 also predicts that, ‘when a candle burns its mass must increase’ It is absolutely incorrect conclusion and never justified experimentally. The scientific world is completely silent over the issue.” Thus Ajay Sharma has given generalized equation dE= Ac2dm. Also, he has also given many applications of his equation.
Ajay Sharma laments that had he got cooperation from the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, he could have proved his point years ago. Ajay has been requesting the department to constitute a committee of specialist scientists to evaluate his work so that his work may be transparently evaluated.
